Eureka, A New Way to Learn

Initially this post was going to be about people letting the side down after something that I witnessed at the weekend. In fact I've not been as wound up as I was then for quite a while which usually leads to a blog post but sadly something has over taken it tonight and so I'll blog about it later in the week - look forward to it is all I can say! No, this post is all about learning which has been a topic of previous posts but after just getting back to my flat from a tutorial I really need to get this out in the open. Not only does it explain this new method of learning but it also highlights just how far I've come in the few months that I've been at university.

Addicted for all the Right Reasons

For those of you that have been reading this blog since the start (which makes it sound like I've been doing this for decades which is far from the truth) then you'll recall my 'Cheese Theory'. It confused many, made more laugh and was the first post that I ever really got positive feedback from - you can read it again here you lucky people! However back in the present day, I have a post to write that is somewhat contrary to the morals of that very post. If you've not read it yet then it basically says that you should try new things and not always go for what you are used to. This post isn't going to completely disregard that idea but it might give it a soft kick in the shins.

I Might as Well Face it: I'm Brilliant

I would say that about 90% of things that people say to you are true. Take for example a comment about some one's clothes (mostly a favourite female line): why would someone compliment a peer's clothing if they didn't like it?; why would they even bring it up? So it's finally reached the stage where I'm tired of people telling me that I'm good. Now this sounds pretty big headed of me but I'm going to explain the reason why I've decided to go and write about this. It is true that I am pretty good. But for someone as quiet and pensive as myself to come out and make such a bold claim, there must be a pretty good reason.

Good Morning, New Year!

Somebody got something seriously wrong. I was under the impression that a year was supposed to last 365 days, each comprising of 24 hours making a grand total of 8760 full and fruitful hours in a single calendar year. Sadly I think there was a minor error at some point between the 31st December 2009 and 1st January 2010 because last year just flew by. Not that I regret anything at all. I'm one of those people that doesn't see the point in regret because there is simply no way forward in it. Yes, I did my fair share if stupid things and things that I just shouldn't have done (that is to say not stupid things), but if anything I've learned from them all and here I am to tell the tale in 2011. So what does this year hold for us? I would be a millionaire if I had the answer to that question although in many ways I am. A definition of millionaire is somebody who's net wealth is more than a million units of currency. And so I ask you: what therefore, is currency? My currency is something that nobody can really put a price on and here is why...
